Turn the World Around.
JAYCC uses a model Jai created, inspired by the Harry Belafonte song, to ground oneself, not just in prescribed wellness language, but in who they are as a person, their values, and how they can “Turn the World Around”. Unlike many Child & Youth models, which focus on behaviour and forced compliance, TTWA is a person-centred approach that keeps values at the centre, and allows for self-expression work and individuality. Youth accessing services may come across this model, as a check-in, or a values/grounding activity.

Affordable CYCP-informed counselling support for children, youth, and families navigating emotional, social, behavioural, school-related, or family-system challenges. This service focuses on relationship-building, emotional regulation, communication, self-advocacy, coping skills, identity, belonging, and practical next steps. Support is strengths-based, person-centred, trauma-informed, and rooted in dignity, safety, and community care.
This is non-clinical counselling support and does not replace psychotherapy, psychological assessment, crisis intervention, legal advice, or regulated health services.
Operational Audits are conducted on behalf of community members, to bring to light strengths operational gaps and strengths in our local youth services.
At this time, audits are completed based on safety concerns, and community interest.

Meet Jai
Founder, CYC-PHi, I’m Jai (Pronounced like Chai). I’ve also practiced under the name Jaymee House. I’m a passionate community advocate, with an advanced diploma in Child & Youth Care, and 10 years of work & volunteer experience in various settings, including community centres, schools, youth development, Autism services, outreach, and respite environments. Using this experience, I started JAYCC to continue to do what I love most - engage with youth and their community to strengthen belonging across services, and offer meaningful supports to community agencies/youth.
My practice is intersectional in nature - my lived experience with cultural diversity and 2SLGBTQ+ Identity allows me to approach things holistically and with an inclusion mindset.
My interests include Switch gaming, community advocacy, and cuddling with our unofficial CEO, Ash the cat.
I look forward to working with you to strengthen youth development and community.
I am writing to you at a time in our community where youth programs are crammed into tiny rooms in gyms, assaults run rampant in schools, and basic respect towards children, youth and minorities is at an all-time low
